6 most important things to keep healthy for long term

  1. Start your day with 2 glasses of water followed by any antioxidant rich juice such as aloe vera or amla juice or wheat-grass juice. Antioxidants act as strong soldiers that protect the body against all infections.
  2. Keep yourself well hydrated. Drink at-least 5lts of water through out the day. Water forms 60% of our body weight & almost all activities within the body require water as an essential medium.
  3. Never eat if you aren’t hungry & don’t avoid eating if you feel hungry. It is extremely important to respond to body’s alarm for food. Over-feeding or feeding at wrong times are both equally hazardous for the digestive system. One must eat when hungry & eat enough to pacify hunger. Remember to respond to the stomach but never to the tongue.
  4. Keep your mind stable & relaxed, read books that help in attaining a larger goal, a broad perspective in life.
  5. Regularly exercise. Moderate exercising such as Yoga & tai chi also helps in increasing immunity. So practice a combination of exercises.
  6. Eat a balanced diet. This is a usual suggestion however the term “balanced diet” is often difficult to understand. Balanced diet is one that includes all the essential components of food –Carbohydrates, fats, protein, minerals, vitamins & water.
