How can Yoga help during Pregnancy

Pregnancy is one of the most important time in life of a woman. She is going through major changes in her body and mind. She is getting prepared to deliver the child and to be a mother.

The idea of prenatal yoga is to:

  1. Manage typical problems during the pregnancy timeĀ  – Typical problems woman face during this time is of Nausea, Thyroid and High Blood Pressure which can easily be managed through yoga practices and vyayaam.
  2. Improve Spinal Health
  3. Ease the process of normal delivery The asanas and the yoga practices are oriented to prepare woman’s body for normal delivery. Normal Delivery is very important for woman’s health in future. So the idea is to strengthen the thigh muscles, opening of pelvic area and to do whatever which will make the normal delivery very easy.
  4. Samskaar (Impressions on Child) Meditation is oriented to give first impressions to the child which are very important for their lifelong journey.

There are different practices in the three trimesters. Practically in first trimester woman can do lot of exercises which reduce mainly to pranayaam and meditation as the delivery date approaches.
