Meaning: Marjala – cat; the asana resembles a cat

Procedure:
Sit  in vajrasana and inhale slowly. Exhaling, kneel down; place the palms on the ground and knee joints apart. Inhale, raise the head up while bending the backbone down. Take a few normal breaths. Now, exhale and curve the back up in convex  shape and bend the head down. Breathe normally a few times looking at the navel. Inhaling , come up and sit in vajrasana.

Benefits:

  •     Relieves backache
  •     Strengthens the spine
