Mayurasana
Meaning: Mayura – peacock
The final pose resembles the peacock
Procedure:
Sit in vajrasana. Move your thighs a little apart and place both the palms between the thighs so that fingers are closely kept. Bend forward , bend the elbows and keep the forearms together. Now, rest the diaphragm on the elbows and the chest on the back of the upper arms. Stretch the legs, one by one. Inhaling, raise the legs from the ground and stretch the trunk and head forward. Body weight should be on the wrists and hands. Keep the body parallel to the ground with stretched legs and joined feet. Breathe a few times in same position. Exhaling, bring down the legs to the floor and lower the head. Place the knees on the floor on sides of hand. Come back to vajrasana.

Improves blood flow in the abdominal organs
Improves digestive power
Cures ailments of stomach, spleen and prevents the accumulation of toxins due to bad eating habits.
It is a good practise for curing diabetes
Strengthens the fore arms, wrists and elbows
Limitations:
Women should not practise this asana during pregnancy and menses
