Pavanamukta asana


Meaning:  

Pavana- air; Mukta- released; By this asana, the obstructed air is releasedPawanmuktasana - variation

Procedure:Pawanmuktasana - complete
Lie on the ground, on the back and inhale.Then,exhaling, bend the right leg on the chest; hold the leg by both hands (by covering the knee). Inhale and lift the head up; touch the nose or the forehead to the knee and look at it..Breathe in this position for five times.now,exhale and keep the head on the ground. then,Inhale while  extending the right leg.Repeat the same on left side.exhale and bend both the legs on the chest and hold them by locking the knees by both hands.Inhaling, lift up the head; touch the nose or the forehead to the knee. Breathe normally for five times.Exhale, keep the head on the ground and  extend both legs while inhaling .

Limitations:

  • Do not practice this if you've had a gall bladder surgery or any ulcers in abdomen
  • Women shouldn't practice this during their periods & during pregnancy
