Shalabhasana

Meaning: Shalabha – grass hopper(locust)Shalabhasana
                 The posture resembles a grasshopper

Procedure:

Lie down flat on the stomach,keeping the hands below the thigh and palms facing downwards. Inhaling, lift the head, the chest and the legs without bending the knees and look up.  Breathe normally a few times. then, exhale and come down, release the hands to return to lying posture.

Benefits
:

  •     Relieves pain in sacral and lumbar region
  •     Removes flatulence
  •     Removes hyperacidity
  •     Cleans the throat, the oesophagus and the urinary tract as well
