Ujjaye pranayama

Meaning: ujjaye – loud
                In this practise, one inhales loudly

Procedure:
 Sit-in padmasana. Deeply and slowly inhale. Now, exhale slowly and do mulabandha and uddiyana bandha. Inhale through both the nostrils till it is sonorous from the throat to the heart. Then close the nostrils and perform jalandhara bandha. Stay  in same posture for 5 to 10 seconds.     Release jalandhara bandha and exhale through the left nostril.
This pranayama can be done while walking or lying down. This is the only practice that can be done at any time during the day

Benefits:
Aerates the lungs, removes phlegm, gives endurance, soothes the nerves and tones the complete system
Ujjayee without kumbhaka is ideal for those suffering from hypertension and coronary troubles
